I got a scratch on my bars & was putting on a handlebar clock. I got a 1" handlebar mount ( well, it's actually a little bigger to get around the bar ) & it wouldnt fit. I then got an 1 1/4" one & that one was way too big. Question, what is the handlebar diameter ?? I thought it was an inch, but i'm way off, as it seemed like it wanted to go on, but the guy I got it from said it should just fall right on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx. That is what I thought too, but the 1 1/4" clock is huge on this thing. The manufacturer actually lives down the street from my house, so he is going to come over sometime this week or this weekend with his calipers & going to custom fit it for me, end all the spectulation. Now thats some customer service. Thanx for the help...
Boy, I am not so sure that the bob is the same diameter as the wide glide. I just sat on both last night at the dealer, and the wide glide bars were thicker for sure. The bob bars looked way small compared to them. The wide glide bars have internal wiring, too, where the bob bars didn't. The bar clamp was also different looking. Just thought I'd throw this in! I'm gettin ready to buy street bob bars for my dyna.
WGs have the fat mini apes /hidden wiring 1.1/4" 56832-04
bobs have mini apes without hidden wiring 1"
must be the chroming that changed diameter
i suggest wear a watch, clocks and other gauges are for baggers ,tacho?(havent needed one yet harley or otherwise)IMO
Hate watches, wont wear them. I dont know, I got used to clocks on all my other bikes & I like them. Probably right about the chroming. Thanx for the input, much appreciated.
Im going to be selling my streetbob bars, risers, clamps, and cables, all 100% brand new never used in a couple weeks, as im changing to drag bars with a 6" riser. let me know if you or anyone is intrested (I have 2 complete sets).
