pastahcole,
Congratulations, looks to me like you did a good job, bike looks good. Looks like it has a more radical rake with the lower rear. How do you like the handling? Does the bike feel lighter and more responsive?

I've been eye balling headlights from Springers, Wide Glides, Sportster customs andSoftail Customs, and just noticed yours has a similar shape of what I've beenlookingat, what bike is your headlight from?
Hey thanks for all the help!!! It seems to handle better at higher speeds. The headlight is the stock lamp and a cyclejammer shell. I got the shell at J&P Cycles.

PASTAHCOLE - I've never pulled the front end apart, everything behind it I have though*Anyways* Any words of advice, maybe some tips to make things easier that you may have ran into? What is the procedure for taking the upper and lower Clamps off besides your obvious fork legs and stuff. Do I need any new gaskets or do I have to Press anything in or is it all just hand tools and common sense or what? Thanks in advance. hehe
I wasn't too bad once I got started. Start with the wheel. You'll need metric allen wrenches to remove the axle clamp. I don't remember the size off the top of my head. The axle nut is standard, remove that first then loosen the axle clamp. Then remove the caliper from the fork; you'll need a 10mm 12 point socket. After that use a T-45 torx wrench to loosen the triple clamp pinch bolts and slide the forks out. I removed the forks and caliper first which made removing the wheel a little more tricky because I didn't have anything to clamp the forks with. To remove the triple tree I had to buy a large crescent wrench to remove the head nut, it's big. You should be able to remove the head nut cover by hand. It should just twist off. That's pretty much it. You won't need to replace any gaskets or press anything. The electrical portion is pretty simple also. WS6 Formula actually disconnected his wiring which sounds like it can be pretty tricky, so I just cut them and butt end clamped them back together. I hope that helps. If you have any other questions or need to explain something better just let me know.

I think so, the part number is right butI would make sure he is selling both spacers. He only gave the part number for one spacer.

WS6FORMULA - Your front end is the stock Mid-GLide or has it also been converted to a WG setup? Looks like thePastahCole's bike has more of anexagerated rake on the front. May be just the pictures, butthat looks nice. I think the combo of tank lift, progressives, and the 2* made a HUGE difference in appearance on his machine (I'm Jealous!). It all goes together really nice.
abcd9906,I also used the Wide Glide triple clamps. Your right on about PastahCole's bike, the tank lift and the lower rear makes a big difference, gives it more of acustom bike look.
