the part number i ordered was 80418-06 which one are these se1 or se2 btw does anyone know if they make a chin spoiler for 06 street bob?
I hate to bum you out, but those are the wrong ones. I made the exact same mistake and ordered those. they don't actually say screamin eagle on the muffler, they say harley davidson. They were maybe a hair louder than stock. I took them off and bought some seIIs on ebay. The seIIs sound way better. Gimme a minute and i'll get the part number. They're not in the regular Harley catalog.
I think the SEIIs are just the newer version of the SEs My bike is a 98 evo and my buddies is a 04 TC. Before he took the baffles out of his, they only sounded slightly different, loudness and rumble. The slight difference may be just the differnce in the engine. evo vs. TC
when buying 06 S/E II slip ons be aware that this years slip ons have catalytic converters(make bike very quiet) ,05 and previous do not.
suggest s&s slip ons(which i have on my 06 bob) or SE II 05 ,check on harley site or adventure harley
i feel a little better knowing it was a honest mistake and i wasnt the only one fooled.if it werent for this forum i would be up the creek without a paddle cause i would have picked them up,got home, put them on then dohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!i wil have to call the dealer tommorow and have them get me the right ones.they will probably charge me a fee they had to order the ones that i requested.bad thing is they will be here tommorow.oohh well ill pay it if i have to.
dont let them crap on you ,they should have made sure you were aware of 06 change sinse it is so major IMO.
they may not have been aware of change either.still dont think you should be charged extra for it though.
