yeah your right.i wanted to get a full on exhaust but i was a little scared that the glitches with remaps and programming were still evident.so i figure that some slip ons would give a little more sound than stock to hold me off till all was worked out.it is way to quiet for me.also my old lady says part of me getting the bike is loud pipes so she can feel better about me when i ride.im to be honest not really looking for performance i just want that true harley sound.know what im saying.
make sure to check SEII & s&s slip ons quite similar but different.ask dealer to start up a bike with SEII and a bike with S&S slip ons you will hear what i am talking about.
S&s slip on slash cut mufflers for 95 up dynas part # 556005.
Everyone has their own idea what sounds good. I think we can all pretty much agree that stock harley mufflers are just WAY too quiet. You can barely even hear yourself shift. I have the SE IIs and they sound great. They're not rediculously loud, but you can definitely hear it's a harley engine under there. To be honest, I had a complete Cobra exhaust on my old Yamaha, and it was definitely louder. But quite frankly, I'd rather have a perfect sound than a loud sound. The harley engine makes the perfect noise...combined with the SE IIs, I've got the perfect sound. I couldn't be happier. That's just me.
I just put a set of Cycle Shack slipons on my 06 Superglide and they sound much better than stock, they are louder and deeper than the Screaming Eagles on the 05's. by the way they cost 138.00 for the set
