Default lowrider ?

I have purchased a 1993 Dyna Lowrider that is titled as a "FLR". I have been searcing for aftermarket parts and have noticed that the "FLR" model isn't listed on model the descriptions. The dude that I purchased the bike from says that anything "FXR" will fit the bike. I have been to websites that explain the "harley model alphabet", but still no luck. Please help!!!

If it's a Dyna, then it should be FXDL. If an FXR, it should be an FXRL. That's my understanding....could be wrong. I've never heard of FLR, though.

I believe that grimm is right, FX is the designation for the Dyna and earlier Superglide lines as well as a couple of Softail models. FL is the designation for the bagger line and some Softail models. Designation would be more like FXDL, which is the Low Rider alphabet designation right on up to now.

That's correct except the FXR Lowrider would be an FXLR or FXRS.
A '93 is most likely a Dyna FXDL but they made both FXR & FXD versions for a while.
I had an '84 FXRS low glide and my boss owns a '93 FXRS Lowrider convertible.
They made both Dynas & FXRs in '93,here's a couple of pics.
First a Dyna, note the battery box on the side.
Next an FXR note the V shape in the center section of the frame with a side cover where the Battery on a Dyna is.
FXRs have a lift up seat with the battery and oil bag under it.
IMO the FXR was the best handling big twin ever made.
