i have also been thinking about wheels but i'm thinkin about maybe just doing black spokes. that might be just right.
lastly, i think i'm gonna fill in the flames...but check this.....so, me and some guys were talking about going with gold leaf. on the flat black it would look bitchin'!!....and it might go well with the seat and bag. just enough to really stand out.
but now i'm leaning more toward a silver leaf now. i can't remember the last time i saw that used.

I like the idea of the black spokes(easy cleaning)and the silver leaf with the round turning they do with it, the copper would also look good though.
so, the battery band is gone. that one was so obvious i missed it. but yall are right, it has got to go. the more i look at it i REALLY need the rotor.
i really thought about the derby cover before i put it on. coater advised against it for two reasons. one, stock harly chrome can be ver dificult to get off (they really lay it on!!) and it has the logo and some lettering stamped in it and it might look kinda funny under the coat.
i really do want to do the triple trees, i think it would be just right.

i'm noticing i'm starting to have everything alternate black or chrome and almost nothing of the same touching...it seems to be working.

hey waterman if you decide to do your strut covers let me know and if your interested maybe we can swap them because i have the brushed and would really like the chrome ones.
I was thinking brushed aluminum on the strut covers would look better than black, so I vote for this deal.I like that the black/silver mix you have going, but I do think black spokes would be sharp. I think brushed on the A/C would look good too, especially if you had brushed strut covers and kept the battery trim (maybethe same finish for the derby cover, like Xkrome described).Ithink you'll lose the unique look you have if you go with too much black.
