Jumping around like a little kid as im putting her together tonight,
had S&S a/c cover powdercoated wrinkle black,
wide glide trees and lowers powdercoated with progressive fork springs,
WCC "FTW" timing cover andBlack Bike Wheels
21" x3.5" front rim with Metz 880 120/70 rubber.
Thats the stuff I did today.
With it together i'm almost thinking of ditching the 14" apes
and going with something real low, thing just looks fast to me.
Anyways thanks for looking just needed to share.
Muddy, the machine is really looking good.
Looking forward to seeing the pix after you are done with the personalization.
I gotta say the balance of the black/chrome/silver is very tastefully executed.
Another vote for the apes ...also, I like the Von Dutch pinstriping. The front wheel looks cool without the fender, but obviously you've got to be practical. Now you just need to convert to forward controls and you'll be set ....
Congrats on your new mods ... your bike looks great!
Ok... one more question... I want the rims... I know I know... I said it was outta the price range but now im hooked... You suck!!! lol... Anyway... what do you have to do with the caliper or anything else to make the rims fit??? Any other tips would be great... I was just gunna stick with the stock tire size... Thanks
Rick

Rick, when the wheel was built I had them center the rim on the hub so that I could use the OEM Street bob (13/16") wheel spacer on the caliper side so that the rotor/caliper line up. I need to replace the non caliper side with a 1" wide spacer to fill the other side (remember im using a set of Wide Glide tree's and aftermarket WG hub) then wheel was centered (read offset)that way. Last night I tried fitting things and it seems like the OEM fender will fit with a couple of spacers/longer screws ,doesnt cover whole tire, maybe 1/8 to 5/32" per side but keep the vehicle inspectors off my *** as well as the rain (95% coverage of tire) If you use a 90 front tire you'll have no problem at all.
Well... not sure all that centering on the hub thing makes sense but ill try and give them a call today and see what they have to say... I wanna keep everything as easy as possible by useing the same size rim and tire I have now. I would like to use the rotor I have now but not sure that will be an option. Ill let you know what happens thanks again.
