I am not big on Ape hangers , but they do look good on certain bikes.. Ie Street Bob and Crossbones, but they dont look good on the Fat Bob IMHO
I'm not saying they don't look good on some setups (I won't say bikes because they can be setup to look good on most any bike). I just think I'd care to ride with them. Just personal preference - not dis'ing anyone. But, like I said, maybe I shouldn't knock it til I try it. But sittin in a recliner with a motor doesn't sound like my thing anyway. LOL [8D]

If you try them you won't want to lean forward again
ORIGINAL: triman
Me too. Kinda digging the pipes. What are those? V&H's? Waht do they run price wise? Looking at the short shots in black for the crimson demin Bob.
Yup, they're V+H Sideshots, price on their site is $634.95 but you can probably get them quite a bit cheaper elsewhere.
They do look kinda cool but I'd never put them on my own bike because a) they expose that really ugly swingarm, and b) they create a completely new visual axis that's nowhere else to be found on the entire bike ... see the green lines below
Certainly not dissing them, to each their own - just not for me
I donât mind baby apes, but ****, thatâs just plain uugly. I was thinking baby apes, sure glad that pic was posted, saved my hairy yellow *** from hanging out all OVER the place.

That's assuming I lean forward now. Not the case. I spent a lot of time getting the right rise and pull back on my bars. So much so that I ended up with taller bars than I wanted but they gave me the fitment I wanted/needed.
As far as the sideshots or any other short pipes go, I like them and don't mind showing my swingarm at all. Dress up that arm a little bit and it's no problem.
