Why are you replacing the seat??? Better two-up comfort? Old one wrecked? I have a sundowner for two-up (best value/comfort ratio) and a Danny Grey for solo work; the Danny Grey is discontinued, I believe, and I got a good deal on e-Bay...that said, I've had a few Corbin's on other bikes and you gotta put quite a few mile on them until they are "comfortable"; initially they feel like softwood. I've also got a couple of FXDX factory seats; they too are cheap on e-Bay.....so what's the seat for, primarily? By the way, my bike's an '01FXDXT; same as yours with removable bags and a factory fairing.....
Its not the prettiest but I use the HD Sundowner solo seat for long rideson my FXDX. I find it more comfortable than any after seat I have used on other bike makes. I can go 300 miles before I even start thinking about my butt being uncomfortable. If I am going for shorter rides I keep the stock seat on just because of vanity.

thanks Sharkey.........Great looking bike. Never thought a fairing would look so at home on such a classic looking bike. The paint color is what I originally wanted on my fxdx, had to go with "chopper blue" I was lucky to get the last model year before everything went the V-rod way..Sorry-no photo yet.....
My original 2-up seat is in good shape, just notcomfortable
after a long ride I also like to ride safelyyet aggressivelly on the many back country roads here in New England, so I need a seat thats comfy yet rigid enough to keep me on the bike.
Thanks Hookalatch.....Ive heard good reports on the sundowner seat.... The Corbin seat looks good in the comercials, yet at a high price. Our friend Sharkey mentioned the break_in time needed for the Corbin to feel right.....a valid point.
I have a Corbin Gunfighter and Lady and have ridden all day with nary a complaint from my butt. It took awhile to break in but I love it. Corbins are firm not cushy and to methat ismore comfortable for a short or long ride.
