Now Harley is sayn this year that the Streetbob falls under the new dark custom series? WOUld u consider the original '06 streetbobs to fall among these? I do. Just wanted to hear what yall think. I think the 06 Streetbob (especially the Black Denim models) to be the original in this series.
I don't think it matters much one way or another. From what I'm seeing, "Dark Custom" is just a series of events they hold to show new bikes, and the ones listed are the ones they have at the events. It's just a sales event, as far as I can see it's not like a special edition, they won't say an 06 version is like a special "Dark Custom" bike...or an 08 for that matter.
Gilly
I would say so, as long as it isn'tabout a96" motor. That's basically the only difference, as I don't consider the changes to the rear fender struts and braided cables to be a big deal. Then the '06's would sort of be 'bastards'.
The more I look into what "Dark Custom" actually is, the more confusing it is. Was it just that ONE event where the crossbones was introduced? And these other models were on display as well? What difference does it make if your bike is one of the bikes listed on the Dark Custom website, or on the video, or any of that other stuff?? So the Fat Bob is a Dark Custom, so what?? BRAGGING RIGHTS???
I'm not sure if it was the fxb, you may be right, I was going to say the Night Train was the first. I love my Vivid Black 06 Street Bob, and would not trade it for anything, but to be totally honest I actually went to the dealer that day to get a Black Cherry Night Train. I'm still glad I went with the bob.
