I know that the black short shots for Dyna's have been hard to find lately, due to the former powder coater V&H was using not being able to keep up. Well did some calling around to find the best prices and was hoping to get on a waiting list somewhere, and found that the ShortShots in black are going up in price due the new powder coater V&H is using. So I checked the V&H Site, and they show a higher price now (I Think they were $349 or $369, but now show a price of $432) The place I called that told me this, was saying that they had checked the Drag Specialties online warehouse, and found that the pipes were due for delivery the 19th of this month, but they were going up from like $369 to $469....[:@]
I called somewhere else and found a waiting list with the old price, and so I pre-paid with a credit card right then and there!
I wondered what was going on. J&P has the shortshot staggered black pipes listed for $359 but they are temporarily unavailable. More Power Racing had them listed for $368 so I ordered a set yesterday. I think the last time I looked at the VH site they were listed at $432. I just checked on my order and is has been placed but has not shipped yet. I assume because of the weekend. I will keep checking to see when they ship. Glad I ordered when I did.
Sounds like an awful lot of extra cash just to get these pipes in black. While I have them on my bike in chrome and like them, ifI 'm getting into the 400 + range on pipes these would not be the ones. Just my two cents.

I had mine ordered and paid for, $299 from morepowerracing. I just got tired of waiting, delivery got pushed back twice. So my Bassanis will be here this week.
