Windshield care
+1 for Novus. I have 1 & 2 for those nasty bugs and tiny scratches. Works great on the helmet visor too.
I used an ammonia based product on my windshield and it turned all milky. The Novus cleared it up.

I just use water and a microfiber cloth. I usually wait until the next day and clean it right before I ride. I do the same with my shield and glasses. The bugs will come off with no streaks or problems. Been doing this for over 36 years. Guess it works for me. [sm=escape.gif]
I use Plexus. It is available at my local Harley dealer if i ever have any problem finding it. For stubborn bugs I soak a microfiber cloth in warm water and drape it on the shield then the bugs come off pretty easy.
If you are looking for cheap microfiber cloths I got a big pack of them at Sam's way cheaper than I found anywhere else.
To all the Lemon Pledge users- I did read a thread recently where someone was asking the about the safety of using it on your motorcycle. Someone eventually wrote to the company and they responded that they did not recommend it for use anywhere on a motorcycle because that was not it's intended purpose. It went on to explain the way Pledge worked was it has a solvent to DISSOLVE a thin layer of varnish on furniture and as it dries it solidifies again to make it shine. Because of this it was NOT recommended for use on paint or plastic. So the way they put it is you can do it if you want but don't call them if you have a problem.
