Default Windshield care

I know that HD has a product for everything but what do you guys use to remove bugs and clean your windshields with. I heard somewhere that you shouldn't use windex or alcohol based cleaner on lexan. Any truth to that. Thanks

Lemon Pledge works like a dream. I always carry a can of it and a micro-fiber cloth while I'm on the road to remove the bugs. I also use it on the chrome and paint and it is great.

+1 on the Pledge. Use the lemon flavor so you get that wonderful citrus smell while riding.

pledge... winshields are made out ofacertain material of plastic i can not think of itand normal glass cleaner such aswindex will cause that to spider web and ruin the winshield... you want to usea product that does not contain alchole or amonia... both my brother and father are opticians... if it has to do with eyeware or lenses i can help you out... they have actually developed a product for materials such as windshields... it is called star glaze it is safe on everything from plazma TV's, computer screens, windshields, plastics, you name it and it has an anti static so it stays cleaner longer... they just do a crap job of marketing their product

PLEXUS & MICROFIBER TOWEL. IF BUGS ARE REAL HEAVY WARM DAMP MICROFIBER CLOTH TO LOOSEN AND THEN PLEXUS. MAKE SURE YOU ONLY USE MICROFIBER. OVER THE LONG HALL IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Does that bug remover spray (I guess the same thing they use at car washes)sold at the parts store hurt anything?

I have reservations about anything that says "Bug Remover" Most of them are nothing more than diesel fuel in a can
