Thought some may be interested to know. I just got the 08 Kuryakyn catalog the other day. They now make a full chrome cover for the 06 and up dyna swingarms (not sure if it fits wide glide). Description says it covers all exposed areas of the swingarm. Don't have the book in front of me but I think the kit is about 200 bucks. It includesintegrated axle covers as well.
I'm not sure if I want chrome there yet or not. Just thought I'd post in case anyone was interested.
Here's the website pic. $199 and says it fits all 06 and up dynas. Not available until May of 08. I'm not sure why they made the pic look like brushed finish when it's supposed to be chrome, but oh well.
I wouldn't be a buyer on the covers. The chrome swingarm from Zanotti's is $277.00. Not enough diff. to settle for covers for me.
Seems pricey to me too. Although who knows what you can buy them for elsewhere after they've been out for a while. I've only bought a couple of things from Kury directly. Most of my Kury stuff was purchased from other dealers at substantially lower prices. If they look good, it might be worth it to some not to have to take their rear end apart to install a whole new swingarm. Looks like these can probably be installed quickly without removing anything. Except in my case, I'd have to take off my axle covers. I'd definitely want to see how they look installed before I'd buy them.
Dont do it..................................... .. .I've gotta Kury phobia........................ . . . . . . ..
amen to that.... i hate that crap... who the hell wants a bunch of double stick taped on japanese chrome stuck all over their bike...? i mean besides baggers.... [sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]
