Thats a picture of my new hitchhiker seat. Just got it last weekend. You can check out at www.harleyseats.com
They custom make each seat, and the prices are not bad. they have different styles....mine was 350, and I had custom flame stiching done. Lots of lumbar support. I had a mustang seat on another bike and thisis WAY bertter.
I started with a dyna screaming eagle seat which looked great but was uncomfortable after an hour.Did some research and now have a Mustang vintage 2 pc. which is comfortable for all day rides.I actually like the way it looks, you can tell this bikeis meant to be ridden now.
Great advice here. Get the seat that keeps the lady happy. Not likely to be the best looking seat, but like the saying goes, if momma isn't happy, no one is. Get a good looking solo for yourself and put it on when you ride alone, but a comfy seat for wifey is a must.
Wont the two up seat scratch my rear fender? I figured there would'nt be any switching once you put a two up on.
I picked up an '07 SE Dyna leather seat (can be seen on the moco's website, sorry no pics) for occasional two-up use, works well but prefer my solo Mustang Vintage most of the time.
I kept the stock 06 seat for my bike(FXDBI) and added the pillinon pad backrest ,locks and most important the quick disconect. I like to ride alone so momma is always uncomfortable. That way I dont get the extra noise from the back.......
