Default New Suspension question

I've got 1 inch lower shocks to put on my Wide Glide to replace the originals.
Is there anything I need to know or is this just a bolt off-bolt on job?

It's not too terribly difficult I've done it around a half dozen or so times. It does help to have an extra set of hands because the suspension compresses when you remove one shock and it's a little tough to get the bolts lined up to put the new one on by yourself.About half the time I've been able to do it by myself the other half I had to get my wife out there to put the bolts in while I lifted up on the fender rail.

1" should not be a problem. Like Ed said, it can be done by yourself, one side at a time. Take your time, make sure you have every tool and part you need ot think you'll need. It is really a straight swap, should not take more than 1/2 hr. if you're not in a rush. One bit of wisdom though, check and double check for any clearance issues with the fender, wiring harness, etc. before you jump on and go searching for that first large pothole. And make sure all of the bolts are snugged down to their recommended torque values, you don't want any of the nuts falling off when you find that first pothole.

I used a floor jack and a wooden dowel to hold up the rear fender when I removed my shocks. It made lining up the new shocks a snap. Took about 30 minutes. Like DGlide04 said, have the torx driver and other tools on hand and it's a snap.

All done, looks cool, no snagging on the rear wiring loom. 1/2" shorter springs but the seat height drop seems bigger to my little legs.

They are 1" not 1/2.
Dunno where i got 1/2 from.
But it does feel more than 1" lower to me.

HD replacement springs.
The box says Premium Billet Lower Shocks.
They pre-load by screwing the top down, with 4 marker rings about 1/8 apart showing the amount of pre-load.
