ok, its awesome because its 1:37 am and im just getting home...and i got to ride the bike today...friggin finally....it was kinda chilly "this mornin" aka now, but otherwise, i got to ride the scoot...im kinda one sheet to the wind right now (me and **** creek), but had a great day/night, it had been almost a month since ive ridden..i had to go as far as leaving my car (a 66 mustang) at my girls house, in another town, so the only vehicle left was my scoot...and its supposed to be a beautiful weekend here in lafayette, la, so i plan on doin some riding tomorrow and sunday...and im sorry for bragging, and i feel bad for those of you who havent riddin in awhile, i know it sucks....but hey, spring isnt too far away, and its almost march.....
sorry for the rambling, just kinda happy and i had to post a message....have a good one everybody and there aint nothin like doin 80mph in 45 degree weather, just a little bone chilling....but a great feeling just being on the bike....
I hear ya. I rode a while yesterday and rode into work last night-it was about 51 yesterday, 34 when I rode to work, sposed to be 40 on the ride home. Forecast says 61 today-Yee haa Bob and I are glad we live in the south
That sounds like a great ride. The season ending ride for me was the Sunday after Thanksgiving; that day it got 49 for the high. We have had snow on the ground since then; I'm itching for the warm up. When I watched the news Thursday night, they said it was 47 in St. Paul, MN this time last year. This year we are still getting sub-zero at nights. This weekend it's supposed to be up in the mid-30s. As soon as it gets a bit warmer and the salt is off the road, I'm riding. I hope it's sooner than later.
be careful out there buddy , keep the sheet in the wind and dont end up under one if ya know what I mean. I was in laffyette or how ever you spell it back in the early 80's great town lucky you. me myself I am digging out from under the second major ice storm in a weeks time but ite suppose to be 51 monday so maybe I will ride my ninja down to the stealer and see if my fatbob is ready.
Saw one of them FAKE Harleys out on I 90 yesterday. For the Chicaga area guys I first noticed him around I290, and we were doing about the same speed so never got close to him till past the Elgin "cashbox" where the speed limit goes from 55 to 65. Then I took it out to the governor and did a slow pass on him at about 70, so yeah he was probably at his comfy limit at 65ish. Not sure which kinda faker it was, whichever has the ugly chrome "Star" on the tank, is that Suzi or Yammer?
Gilly
PS this was westbound of course, don't know where the guy was goin but I seen him in the rview as far at Belvidere, thinkin maybe he stopped at the oasis for some antifreeze, so it wasn't just a short hop to get in a February ride!
