Starting on my winter project list
Planned on my list was:
Horn cover - the HD chrome round one that I am doing some light customizing on
Chrome switches - a cheap $12 job that will give me something to do in the garage
New rubber - I decided on the SE/Dunlop gt502s. I got some good feedback on these and they are quite a bit cheaper that ME880s.
Front spoiler - it will make my bike more aerodynamic thus faster (please, don't ruin my excuse /grin/)
Unplanned on my list is:
Chrome wheels - due to cost I doubted I'd ever change my wheels; but the local HD shop had these on sale during their garage sale for $100/wheel marked down from $699/wheel and I couldn't resist.
HD low-profile billet shocks - new, from my local HD shop's eBay store for $62
Lowering kit for front - paid full price, but saved big above. I'm planning on running the SE fork oil to stiffen up the front.
(the total I paid for the "unplanned" list above was less than what I would have paid for the shocks alone)
Now I need warm enough weather to get another 130 miles on the bike, then it's to the dyno tune and I hope to have pics and charts posted in April, if I get really luck, March.
I hope all of you have been well and have or are getting your bikes ready for spring.
...man I need a ride.
