Installing Saddlebag Guards
I just purchased a pair of Saddleman leather saddlebags and a pair of HD saddlebag guards, along with a rear signal light relocation kit for my 2005 FXD. I got the signal lights moved with no problem, that was supposed to be the hardest part.
The saddlebag guards are a different story. They did not come with instructions. The guy at the accessories shop sold me 2 socket head bolts. In the kit came with 4 bolts that appear to be spacers and 2 nuts with nylon liners. There are also 2 bolts with round allen heads. I now have 2 holes where the signal lights were, along with the bolt that holds the chrome trim piece on behind the shock absorber. There are also 2 small chrome plugs, which I assume go in the hole where the wires fed through to the signal lights.
The 2 socket head bolts did not come with nuts, so I'm unsure which bolts or spacers go in which hole. It also doesn't appear that I have enough nuts unless I use the nut from the bolt holding the chrome trip piece in place. This should be an easy install and I feel really stupid for asking, but I'd like to get this project wrapped up.
Any suggestions?

Well, I haven't received any responses, but I think I may have the problem figured out. I won't know until I try the installation again tomorrow, but I sat there staring at the hardware for a while when it dawned on me. I'll post my progress after my 2nd attempt. I hope to post pics once I have everything installed.
*update*
I got it figured out, although I'd like to have another pair of socket head bolts to match. It looks great and the bags really compliment the bike. I will take pictures and post later this week.
I'm hoping to put mini-apes on later...gotta save up some cash.
