Default Badlander vs. Stripper seat

Hey all,

I was wondering, for those of you who have ridden with these two seats, which is the more comfortable seat. I'm dying for a low profile seat, and I figured these two are the best way to go. I see the stripper seat is 12.5" for the rider and 6" for the passenger and the badlander is 11" for rider and 5" for passenger. How long can you all ride before you start hurting? I don't really ride more then 100 miles at a time ever, so very long rides doesn't happen much. But, I do ride a lot, and every day for that matter. The badlander seat is significantly cheaper then the stripper, but I wonder why?

Thanks all!

Cheers,
Adrian

Have/had a leather Badlander...Switched out to a Corbin close solo because of my short arms. The Badlander was a great seat - a bit more firm than my Corbin, but I never had any "butt aches" on long rides. I actually just listed it on eBay today...

I have the Badlander on my FXD. Like the looks and felt like it lowered me a bit. But, my butt gets sore after about 30min. Dave

After researching seats....i have learned one thing....The uglier the seat the more comfortable it is. I have a badlander, it looks really good..my but starts to hurt a little after 50 miles or so, but its way better than stock

Had the stripper seat. Very uncomfortable after a half hour for both me and the passenger.

I've ridden on both the badlander and the stripper (my current setup). Biggest difference between the two is the amount of padding.

Badlander is cheaper because it's just a piece of leather stretched over the seat pan. No padding other than what the leather gives you.

The stripper has a small amount of foam padding. Both seats have similar dimensions (width, length) but the stripper is slightly taller due to the additional padding.

I prefer the stripper, as do my passengers. But like others have said here, passengers are only good for about 30 minutes on either seat. As a solo rider, I'm able to ride about as far as the gas tank will let me go. Each fill-up provides a much needed rest for my butt.

I was looking really hard for a low-profile seat, too. Once I saw the stripper on my bike, I was happy with both the looks and additional padding.

Here are a few pics of the stripper on my 07 bob.

Cheers,
J
