I changed to a round cover because it gives my bike a little more of the nastalgic look. I did run the football for quite a while though, but went with a black one off of a Night Train.

I don't hate it! I didn't hate the exhaust, bars, risers, engine displacement, brake/taillight, horn cover, fuel management system, seat.....you get the idea. There were just things I liked better than OEM.

I'd agree that hate may be a little strong but I like the round look to see more motor. Also I just love the open open filter look as long as it does not cause problems. One thing I LOVE about the football is that is has the moddle name on it! Have taught the wife to look there and read so that rather than "I saw a Harley today" she can tell me "I saw a ...... today!"

I'll admit it....i hated the football. Like others have said...it covers up way too much of the motor. I also hated the chrome "ham can" that came on my 79 Sporty...actually, it was much worse than the football.

I like the football. I justdon't understand why the motor company didn't use one to match the black denim. I ordered the color matched one with a new ring.

I hated the football, I just didn't get thier choice of that shape when if they would have just chopped the front half of it off they would have had a neat scoop or tunnel ram shape like a hypercharger.I may have to try that myself, like everyone else I have one laying around collecting dust.
