I bought mine last fall and got A GREAT DEAL ON THE 2007 low rider .
I did alot of research also .
Only major difference to the eye is color changes and new tear drop style ac.
They change the brake lines and noticed a few different nuts and bolts .
One other thing I noticed was the rear brake caliper is a little different .
Oh ya they lowered the MSRP .. I f I had to gues I would say do to sales and the economy .
If you like the 07 colors and can get one a grand les then the 0/8s I ,d say buy it .
If not get the 08 do to the one year difference in value ..
Either way the LOW RIDER is a very good looking bike .....[8D]
Yeah, i could go either way, 07 or 08. I think i'm going to let this play out a bit longer and hope for the best possible deal. Another dealer here has a $1000 gift card when purchasing ANY 08 model. And another has $2000 offselect in-stock models. So it appears they are ready to wheel and deal alot this year. I wish they made it in that olive/black denim that the SB comes in. Also that 2-tone green on the 07's is really cool. But i'm not too particular on colors anymore, vivid black would be just fine as well.
Are there any major changes to the 2 years? I'm asking because a local dealer has a new '07 FXDL, Fire Red Pearl for $13,695 with standard wheels and another same model and color with spokes for $14,046. The first one sounds like a pretty good deal.
Tell him you will take the 07 for $13k flat and see if they bite.......
I offered $13.5 OTD for my 07 LR back in November. They ended up taking it and gave me a $200 gift card. I thought that was a very good deal considering people werepaying~$16k earlier in the year.
Go with the 07 a better price and great looking wheels. Saint Paul Harley is where I bought mine. Check their website for deals and their service is great. Good luck with your decision. From another MN rider.
So i went to a couple dealers this weekend. Got good news and bad news. The bad news is that the deals they were advertising really weren't anything special. $500 off msrp. Seems the best deals on instock models were only for the v-rods, which i'm not interested in. So i sat on a few more bikes and found the following results. The FXDC was finally in, and it felt pretty good, no issue flat footing it and that pacific blue/black paint is incredible looking. I didn't care for the amount of silver powder coating on it. I didn't realize how much there was on the cylinders. The lowrider was next and it was dissapointing that it did not feel like it was for me. It did look awesome though, but it just didn't feel right and it actually felt like it sat higher than the FXDC. The next thing i did was find the softails and sat on the FXSTC which I've always liked the look of with the narrow front tire and fat rear tire. I was expecting it to be much taller and was i wrong. I sat down, stood it up and the biggest smile came over me. You can really sink into that sucker. The reach to the forwards was very pleasing and the bars felt awesome. So there's the good news i guess, i found the one that called out may name. I didn't want to get off that bike, but the store was closing and my wallet was a bit thin. LOL. I hope i can sleep tonight.
