I understand, I did the same thing when I had SE II mufflers. Sounds fine but I love the BR look and sound, yes, no, yes, no. Then, maybe these half price V&H Straightshots will suffice. Put them on but really love the BR look and sound, yes, no, yes, no. Then, one day, oh you have the BR's 25% off? Well I only had my straightshots for 2 months, but what the hell, I'll take the BR's, yes, yes, yes.
At first I didn't like the look of the BR's...preferred something similar to the stock pipes, but cut different, like the Rush or Samson slipons. The BR's have grown on me lately. Do they interfere at all with the stock pegs? I can't tell from a lot of photos, and it seems like a lot of people who have them also have forward controls and hwy pegs.
FATBOB67,
I have the BR installed on my FB and it's Freakin night and day the difference in the depth of tone and decibels. Sounds awesome and compliments the motorcycle as well. The more GIDDYUPANDGO is very evident. Wish I had some PICS for U. I have seen alot of comments about how wide and common place the Vance and Hines BR is but who cares IMO. It alwayslooks like a Harley now it sounds like one. Borderline obnoxious, just the way I like it. I was considering slip ons but the right choice is to upgrade to the new pipes. More Dinero but you only live once.
