Remapping required?
Based on what I've read here I think if I just install slip-ons I don't need to remap. But If I install slip-ons and a new air cleaner (with higher flow) than the bike will run to lean and a remap is necessary. Do i have it right?[8D]
Yes. Just putting on slip-on's does not require remapping and even putting on an air filter doesn't require it. With the filter it is recommended but with the new EFI's you don't really notice the difference with the exception that the rev-limiter is raised.

if all you do is change the exhaust your good to go. check with your service department and you will hear the same thing, or read a service manual and you'll see the same thing.
good luck
Hello, new to the site! I put HD stage 1 high flow filter, with VH full staggered pipes, and with no re-maping. Only have about 100 miles on her, but no back fireing, and plugs look fine. (2007 FDX) I'll keep you all posted!
Guys,
Your bike comes from the factory with a tune that holds the motor back! If you are going to spend the money to make the engine run right, a re-map is the BEST thing you can do! The re-map lets the bike run the way it's supposed to, not the way the EPA wants it to!
