Actually, I like the shorter rise as well but they just didn't fit where I wanted them due to my height.
I understand what your sayin' bud & comfort is definately important, but you've got to consider how it's gonna look on the bike somewhat too, right?Me-personally, Ilike the 6.5-7" rise height myself. I think the 5" is too short & the 9" too high. Probably why Harley chose the medium height as their one & only rise height option on the SS's? Just not sure at this point if I should go with Carlini's or H-D's? Decisions...decisions!
ditto - 2007fxdc is right on. measure the existing bars to help determine where you want your hands. for me it's about function (wihtin reason) and good looks are a bonus. The problem, as with a lot of parts we 'interact' with directly, you but it then you get to try it for a while - if it fits (and works), great! if it doesn't (or looks bad) - it sucks - another part in the garage after you replace it.
