Howard, do those repl. the buttons on the harly floating rotors?
are you saying that even tho they are 2 piece, they arent a true floating rotor?
Question: do those repl. the buttons on the harly floating rotors?
Answer: Yes, they replace the rivets. The "Buttons" on the type HD or 2 piece aftermarket rotors are rivets that hold your friction ring solidly against the rotor carrier. [ul][*]Thus not a true "floater" but a 2 piece or simi floating rotor. If you can hold fast (mounted on your bike) the carrier & move the friction ring side to side, than they are a floating rotor.[*] When around a sport bike where the manufacturer spends more money on performance equipment like a GSXR 1000 or Hayabusa, try it.[*]The more money spent on equipment the better the end result is. The equipment above is modeled after the competition type "Super Bike" class you will see at Daytona. Yes, the brakes are better & cost more to make and to purchase.[*]If you read mudpuddle's post, he is correct in what he knows. You may ask him to clarify as he is always very helpful to everyone, if you wish. [/ul]
