I just purchased an 08 for $12,000 OTD but I am in California right now visiting and all of the bobs are in the mid $15,000

got mine in Beaumont Texas for $13,200. Cobalt Blue ,also with a gift card.Its a 2007 bought in July 2007.

Bought an '07 in march '07. Had the stealer put on the fowards.got the customary free "thanks for dropping 15 to 20 g's on a bike" tee shirt.15.5 otd.

Got a '08 FXDB for 52,000 with stage1 ac, V&H slip ons, forward controls, sundowner seat, pegs, grips, backrest, backrest rackand a SERT in Norway.

I got mine back in July for just a hair over 15k. I got 15% off any purchase from the stealership. Also, a HUGE plus, I got FREE LIFETIME MAINTENANCE AT ALL SCHEDULED INTERVALS. That was enough to take the deal there.

MSRP on an 08 Street Bob is $13,795. Figure dealer prep of about $400, shipping of about $500 plus sales tax and you're in the ball park of what you stated if it includes tax (and the other items). Sales of HD bikes, and how it's affecting dealerships, is very regionalized - dealers in certain partsof the country are doing better than dealers in other areas. With spring coming the dealers are being more optimistic and it's getting harder to find a good deal than it was 2 or 3 months ago.

Personally, I'd shop around a little bit and expand the geography of where I was looking to buy - you may finda better price if you're willing to travel to pick the bike up - probably won't do worse.JMHO

I know a guy that is selling his 11800 with SERT, Cobra pipes, SE air cleaner. and he will throw in the detachable sissy bar, highway bars and tbag for an additional 600

now that is a bargain.
