Default Fat Bob pricing?

What are you guys paying for your Fat Bobs? I'm looking for just a stock one, blue or black denim, security system and that's it. I'll add saddlebags and the detachable windshield. Dealers around here say, "We're MSRP dealers!" and then want set up, outrageous (in one case $400!!) for "doc fees" and freight.

I need to deploy so I can get a military price!

I paid 15500 stock with the exception of adding the security system. No trade in, no haggling, no questions. I had to shop around for someone with the vivid black and forward controls for awhile without having to pay for a forward control kit and without having to wait for the dealer to order it.

You can expect to pay set up and freight fees at any dealer car or bike its part of life . So if they say they are and MSRP dealer and the price before setup is MSRP then they are an MSRP dealer . Its like taxes if they charge you taxes on top of MSRP does that mean they are not an MSRP dealer?

$15150 - Black pear paint w/fwd controls.
Most dealers charge for shipping - $300 HD std
Plus setup fees - typical $150

Anything over that is dealer BS in my opinion

I paid $14,900 after trade in on my 07 Sporty.

Got a few extras from the previous owner that the dealer didn't add on for.

No, if you look at any car sticker, it'll show an MSRP price plus "Destination" or, in Harley's terms, Freight. That's MSRP. The setup cost is factored into the difference between invoice or dealer cost and MSRP. It's not part of life... it does, however, seem to be part of a Harley dealer's life and because in the past the bikes were so popular, they could get away with paying it. That's not the case now. Or if it is, more power to them, but I'll shop elsewhere.

Would you walk into a car dealer and pay "2nd sticker" price that included a dealer markup or some generic term that adds money to the cost of the vehicle?

To me, an MSRP dealer would be MSRP (base price, freight) and that's it. Doc fees? C'mon... it can't cost more than about $50 in time, paper and state fees (temp plate) for this one so paying $200 is simply another attempt to replace those huge markups that people aren't willing to pay any more.

I don't begrudge a dealer making a fair profit. I do have issues with just "free money" for them that comes from my bank account.
