I bought a fork brace for my 2000 Dyna from JP Cycle. Its a 4 piece design where the 2 end caps come off and the 2 center bars unbolt for installation. My question/problem is, the diameter of the 2 fork holes in the brace is slightly smaller than the diameter of the stock forks. I double checked the order and triple checked my measurements. Called JP Cycle tech support and one he said... these fit really tight. Said you will have to use the outside caps bolts to draw these down on the forks. I have included a picture below... has anyone else installed this brace on their 39 mm forks and if so, was it that tight of a fit??
I don't have that product. I have Storz 55 mm forks. But, in order for
the product to perform as a brace ( not just a cosmetic part) it would need to have an internal dia smaller than the fork, otherwise it is going to move around and cause more problems than it solves.
