Solo Reach Seat for FXDB?
My experience with a "close" seat:
I have a 30" inseam, 07 FXD.
With the stock seat, I put Hwy. pegs on in the normal position to ease the leg cramps of the mids on day trips.
First ride, the pegs still seemed too far away for total relaxation.
Modified Hwy. pegs to bring them closer, much better, but forward controls were not in my future.
Decided to to get a new seat, figured I'd spend some bucks on it as it would make sense.
Both Corbin and Mustang have close seats, found the Corbin on ebay cheap, some bike shop in midwest selling both seats and backrests, had the right model, a "close" one, figured I'd try it.
Installed seat and took it out this week as weather warmed up in the Northeast.
Seat was very comfortable on hwy. pegs, but needed to put them forward to original position, (yes, the seat does bring you forward).
Now my problem is, using mid controls, my legs tend to cramp up even sooner now.
So now I have to install the forwards which came in yesterday, hopefully life will be good now.
So the answer is "yes", they do bring you forward as promised. My problem now is,I changed so much stuff this winter, it's like a new bike, I need to make all the comfort adjustments all over again.
