forward controlls
where is the best place to buy some foward controlls, im 6 ft3 with mids and alil more room would be nice, same for a seat, anybody make a seat to move u back alil. i now about the tallboy and thats just not gonna cut it..lol
dam it man, and i need mini apes to..grrrrrr lots to do to make this bike fit me, but i got a really good deal on this o7 superglide, 9000grand add vip and otd at 12.6. good deal right?
I installed the Harley forwards. They were a big relief to me at 6'2" with a 34" inseam, but I still needed more. I put a pair of offset extensions on and found them much more comfortable. If your inseam is near mine, the Kurys should be the ticket.
The mini-apes were also a huge improvement. A lot of guys with some length like the taller apes even better,

These guys seem to be impressed with the Kury's.. Its been a while, but I put a set of fwd's from Custom Chrome on my Sportie and a set of Harley's on my Dyna Convertible a couple of years later. Huge difference in quality. I would recomend seeing them installed on a bike before dropping the cash. Check for sloppiness, looksand overall feel. But, like I said, its been a while and the aftermarket qualities may be totally different..Kuryakyn usually makes a great product..
Seek out Eastern Performance on ebay, among others. I'm 6'4" and wouldn't have mid-controls ever again. I bought my Kury forwards from them over a year ago. They were NIB for $299 shipped and they retail for $399. I installed them myself in a couple of hours. I have the Tallboy - hate it but it does move you up and back and is comfy - but I only use it when riding 2 up. I am expecting a Lepera seat which, I'm told moves you down and back as opposed to the Tallboy moving you up and back. Not as comfortable but looks much better and brings you down "into" the bike.
You don't have to change the bars to get the right fitment unless you just really like apes. If you are concerned about fitment and comfort, don't change too much at once that can affect all of that. If you like different styled bars, you can usually get what you like and have it fit properly. You are not too tall for your bike. It is possible to add forwards, a pull back type seat, and change the bars and then feel like you can't control the bike as well. Take your time and get it right so you can enjoy the ride.
