I had the same problem with mine when I changed out the baffles. Remove thebolt that holds the baffle in place and thread back into the baffle from the inside of the pipe. Don't thread it far enough to go outside the baffle. Next you hook something onto the bolt sticking out and start pulling. I clamped onto it with a pair of vice grips and starting tapping the plier ends with a hammer and after a few hits it fell out.
As for should you do it. Not a good idea to run open pipes. Screws up motor back pressure that can lead to damage.If you want better sound check out Big City Thunder baffles.
