Have to admit I've strayed from the fold every now and again into the other forums here, but seldom seem to learn much or find much interesting elsewhere. And some of the attitudes out there, well, no need to bash 'em, but they all seem to have something to prove rather than being helpful or really moving the discussions along. And I've noticed when some of those types wander in here, it doesn't take long for the dyna guys/gals to set them straight. And always with a sense of humor!
Ever notice on the home page the number of topics and posts for each model's forum?? Says something well beyond the number of members who own each model, IMO. But still don't understand that "bagger" thing!
What I've noticed more about the dyna forums more than any other one is people aren't scared to be themselves, post their mods, mod their bike the way they want, etc.
Even when guys are so happy to show off their "unique" mods that thousands before them have done - everyone treats it cool. All comments are:
"Looks good on your bike." "Nice mod." "Street bobs suck, wide glides forever.."
Ok, I admit. I added the last one for shytes and giggles.
Now, admire my signature.

i spent some time over in religious (I'm agnostic) and politicalfor some friendly debate while i was off work. both where to negative so i had to quit (most in political where down right a$$ holes) i tend to be optimistic to a fault and all the closed minds in both forums where pi$$ing me off.
don't have that problem in the Dyna and especially the showdown forums. every body seems happy except for the "winter time-cant ride blues' which is the way bikers are supposed to be. we are discussing our passions, what is thereto be angry about?
So you guys won't treat me any difference when I get my Ultra? Don't worry....I'm keeping the Dyna.
If I ever get a bagger I look foward to stripping my wide glide down. The older rear fender (pre-06) is just asking to be lowered, paired with a spring seat and slightly wider tire. Take my mini-apes to a set of 16" and drop the bags and windshield. Then I'll be looking for a flat black set of tins with some pinstriping. A wide glide mixed with some of the style of these street bobs around here. Sooooo nice.

Mod prices..
Then there's the how-to for under $50 bux thread here. This place has it all.
We're just more of a laid back bunch. There arecertian kind of bikes that have their shocks "stuck up" and hidden underneath and most(not all) of their riders are stuck up as well. Dyna riders however, we rock out with our shocks out and have more of a care free, friendly attitude. I dont mind answering PM's, exchanging emails, and have even taken phone calls from people trying to get things figured out. Dont get me wrong, Im not trying to stir things up with those comments. I mean Im not saying..im just saying.
I think we need to get t-shirts or patches or decals or something like this!! Rock Out With Your Shock Out
