as i mentioned, my "kit" is comprised of screaming eagle hardware, all purchased at a harley dealer so I am unsure why you think it is "above and beyond what harley offers", in fact I am unsure why you are speaking about my build anyway, please refrain from that as we have not met nor have you ever seen my bike let alone understand the motor build.
and what you mentioned is that it's a lot of money for 10-15hp which is incorrect info, not just that it is a lot of money, for some, it's not- it's exactly what we want.
the best bang for the buck is the motor that matches the owner's goals (perf v. value), not someone else's.

Lighten up frances. I was gathering info about whether or not I wanted to go this route and posted a link to a smiliar question that I had recently. What's up your ***? If you didn't want someone commenting on your bike, then mabye you shouldn't have posted? I was stating what I've researched and was comparing it to what you stated. What's the big deal? Do you have some super top secret build that no one should know about? I was actually stating that I didn't think the kit my dealer was talking about was the same as yours considering the price difference and the difference in HP and Torque you quoted. I don't know if my dealer was talking SE or not, he didn't say.
For the most part the folks here have been great to each other when seeking information, that's what we're here for, maybe you should try to think of that before snapping at someone who happened to mention your bike or build...
I already have the Stage 1 on the bike. I am not afraid to spend 4k on the bike this summer to get good performance however if I can make the same Dyno numbers with a different combo for say $2500 I'm all about that!

That's what I was hoping for too. I did my cosmetic upgrades so I thought I'd look into some mild engine work, but didn't want to spend almost $4,000 to do it.
I'm in the process of doing my third build...maybe the last, who knows. I dotheassembly myself but here's a parts break-down for ideas on money spent :
1. SE cast flat tops 10.2:1 - $140
2. Bore OE cylinders - $180
3. Thunder-Max - $599
4. Red Shift 577 cams - $300
4. High lift SE valve springs - $120
5. SE adjustable push rods - $120
6. H-D gasket set - $60
7. Port heads, install compression releases, install 1.9" intakes, mill to 81 cc's, .030 Cometic head gasket- $750
8. SE air cleaner - $120
Negative, the heads won't be back for at least three weeks.
I don't know if I'll ever dyno it, but I am curious how close itwill beto the 100/100 mark. The biggest drawbackwill bethe pipes, but I have no intentions of changing those.
It's all in what you are looking for.
From what I have heard you can have some head work done and gain a substantial amount of power.
I have the 103ci. For what it's worth it's doing 105 HP @ 112 ft/lbs. It launches off the line and flat out hauls a$$. Just depends on what you are looking for and wanting to spend. Just remember that torque launches you off the line and HP keeps you moving.
