Got my Windshield but....
I am totally unhappy with it...
I have a Dyna FXDC 2008 with a Sundowner seat... when I installed the Detachable windshield, my head vibrates like crazy! It gets pretty annoying after a couple of miles of riding...
Any suggestions?

Not a lot of information here but it sounds like the windshield is deflecting the wind right to the top of your head (helmet). You might try a lower seat, or a taller windshield. I have never been a fan of windshields for lots of reasons.....this being one of them.
I have the standard HD Detachable shield and I just cut two inches off of it at the top. Never had a head buffeting problem with either the stock seat or the Mustang solo. No problems now with the shorter shield either.
Most of the problems I've had are with air coming up from under. Since adding a large fork bag, there's less air, especially with the lowers on the engine guard. Have to wonder if it's a combination of lower & upper air disturbance. Appears to be one of the great mysteries of life why some get their heads pounded and others only get a little wind in the face. Go figure.

Have you tried adjusting it to different angles? There have been a lot of threads on here about ways to fix buffeting. I found a shield too tall is just as bad as one too short. the top of the shield should be at eye level. The jack flap vest can help too. Are you using forward controls? Sometimes repositioning your feet can help.
I have to ask this question, when you say your "head vibrates like crazy" do you mean your head or your helmet?Anyway you probably need to change the angle of the sheild, angle it towards you to smooth the airflow and look over it not through it.

I had that problem, was like a million tiny bats hitting my head, and also the shield top was directly in my line of site, I hated the hell out of it. So, I chopped it down and now I luv it! I took 6 inches off of it with a jigsaw using a fine blade, a little emery cloth followed by some plastic polish to make the cut edge match the uncut edges. Be sure if you do it to use tape, I used painter tape, to keep the jig off of the shield surface, don't need scratches! I also cut twice....once at 4 inches as a practice run and to see how it actually comes out....then the real cut. Take your time with it all.
