Default Progressive Fork Spring Noise

I installed a set of Progressive Fork Springs on my 07 Street Bob. If I pull in the brake and rock back and forth the forks make a thunk kinda noise. Possibly the spring hitting the spacer. My friend thinks this may be a normal spring noise. When I installed them I pulled the stock springs and spacers and replaced them with the springs and spacers provided by progressive. No lowering. Standard Height.

Anyone else experience this?

My standard height wide glide Progressive fork springs do not thunk. You sure the neck nut and triple tree nuts are tight? That is the only input I can provide. Sorry!

Not sure what is going on, I just replaced my 07 wg fronts with a 1 inch lowering spring kit from progressive, no probs. Did go to a heavier fork oil. Someone here will have the fix

its not in the stem. Got that clunk fixed by adjusting the fall away. This is coming from the forks on the rebound.
Thanks anyway guys!

Just did my springs the same as you, I first set it up with SE Heavy fork fluid and still thought they dove a little easy so I switched to Extra Heavy and waiting to see how that works. Do you think its possible with the new springs that you might be rebounding too quickly and topping out, making a clunk? When you set up the front end im assuming you used the proper amount of oil and bled out the air? Maybe your coming up too fast. Just a thought.

Did you cut the spacer to suit your weight to get the right SAG?

I did not bleed out the air and have not cut the spacer. I will try those two things.
Thanks.
