i have an 06 fxdwg first i had a noise in the primary area , turned out to be the trans input shaft bearing . when tearing it apart i noticed the snap ring that hold's the bearing in the inner primary cover was not in the correct position .( the opening on the ring was supposed to be where the lubehole is ) well needles to say i replaced all that had to do with that bearing , while putting all together i spun the clutch pack and noticed the input shaft was out of round . probably caused from the heat caused by the bad bearing , well wanting to ride my scooter i finished putting it back together . will screw with it another day.
well riding the other day my check eng light came on with a battery light . my question is . is there any way to find out what the check eng light is , i know it's probably due to the low voltage , but has anyone come across any similar problem like this before .? the bike only has 20,000 mi. on it . i am wondering if the metalin the fluid might have done somthing to my generator or somthing else.
any feedback would shure be appreciated.
thank's
steve
