I have been oogling over the new X bones for a few months now, and went to a dealer today to check one out again, and when I went through the door there sat a 08 Fat Bob with the H.D heavy breather kit, screamin' eagle slip ons and it had the race down load. Other than that it was just bone stock. It was a real sharp looking ride, I was really impressed. It was also the first time I got to sit on one and again... I was impressed. HMMMM, maybe by the time warm weather rolls around here in good ol' Pa I just might be having me one just like that.

 

Thats what my money is going down on when Im ready,,,aaaaahhhhhhhh it feels goood to get that decision out of the way.

How much did the extras cost on the bike? I might get the same stuff on mine. So far I prefer the Black denim but I might take any of the colors ,since non of them really turn me off.

 

I second the black denim but I'm baised! I've never ridden a better handling bike - if you get the chance to test one, go for it - you'll be hooked.

 

The one I was checking out was the Redish color, not denim, not sure what the color is called, but it was hot. I guess I should go to the manufacturer's web site to check on it .

 

Man, I really like the black denim one with the striping except...

1. Put a damn Bobber fender on it! It has a spring seat; mount a tire hugging swingarm mounted fender on it!

2. WTF is the deal with a 17" rear wheel and a 16" front? Kinda backward if you ask me. Shoulda gone with a 19" IMHO.

Oops, i just read that you liked X Bones but decided the Fat Bob was better.

IMHO, the Fat Bob is terrible looking. But if you like it, it's all you.

 

The seat on the X-bones doesnt fit me at all......I would have to put a normally mounted solo on it for it to work....it feels like you are sitting on top of the tank. As far as not liking Fat Bobs: They are not for everybody, but if we all liked the same kinda bike, MOCO would only have to make one style...instead of 31....and even at that we all make changes so nothing is perfect it seems

Im beyond test riding it,IM going to get it. I have yet to hear someone say I just rode the FB and I didnt like it. Everyone loves the way it rides. I love the looks so its a no brainer to me.

BTW the color you probably saw was Crimson Red Sunglow. It dosent look anything like the website shows ,much better in person.

 

I like the black denim look. But opted got a Vivid Black. Not regreting my decision at all. Love the Fat Bob.

 

they have the heavy breather and screaming eagle exhaust listed as a combo kit . chicago harley has them listed in the 520.00 range after there 20% discount.
