Default handlebar wiring extension?

Hey All,
i have the novello no-solder kit....but it only has 14 wires (2007 WG). Is there another kit i need to get in-order to leave the turn sigs on the levers.? . or will i have to get pieces of wire and solder them on? i have checked out the post by "thebestofindica" and his Sigs are on the forks, so i dont think he had to extend those particular wires. any help will be great. thanks again for the help, and i appologize for asking dumb questions, but i am new at wrenching on my own bike.

Just put 16in apes on my 07 wg and had the kit but didn't need it there was enough wire in the neck to make it work, as for your question I think there is only 14 wires if memory serves me right eight on one side and six on the other. How tall of bars are you putting on?

Exactally the same bars I did and I didn't need the extension kit, I am going to try to take some pics tomorrow and post for everyone to see. What risers are you going to use b/c the stock WG risers are for a 1.5 diameter bar at the mounting point. My bars necked down to 1 in at mount so I changed to a one piece mount off ebay, also helps hold bars better. BTW did you get new bushings, the stock wg bushings are too soft, I changed to the poly bushings from HD, much better. If you have any other questions pm me I just finished up a bunch of mods on my WG and can hopefully help with any questions. R u replacing the cables I can get you the lengths that I used if you want.

The wire extension kit from Novello is only for the switches, not the sigs. The Sigs are a separate unit unto themselves and you would need to extend them as well. I am not sure if Novello has a kit for this or not. Your best bet would be to call them direct.

07's and up utilize 14 wires due to the Neutral safety switch now mandatory on bikes after 06 model year. In all honsesty, if your going that high, relocate the sigs man, it will look much better.
