Red Flag?
Like the others said, many folks just aren't able to ride many miles. This one was probably owned by someone who just bought it for a toy, to ride on weekends. Many people do. Not everyone is lucky enough to put 15,000+ miles a year on a bike. I manage to do it because I use my bikes as my primary transportation for 9-10 months out of the year. I'd much rather ride than sit confined in a cage! But that's me....

Also, don't get talked into paying a lot more just because of added accessories. You can put $10,000 of chrome goodies on a bike, and it's actual resale value will stay the same. Only if you buy it from a private individual (not a stealership) can you expect to pay more than that. Custom parts are a very personal thing. Just because you like the ones that are on the bike, doesn't mean that everyone else will. Most people change most of them after buying the bike, anyway. After all, who wants to ride something that looks just like someone else's machine?
That bike is listed at $12,240 on the Kelly Blue Book website, so the price they are asking is not bad at all. I'd buy it.....
