Default Dyna seat removal

Newbe here from Arizona. I've got a 08 lowrider, and my wife has a 07 1200C. I've got the stock seat and a sundowner for the lowrider. How does the seat come off and on. Is it as simple as the Sportster? And I'll post up some bike and wife pics as soon as I can figure it out. This is a fantastic forum for info and a little ball busting

We don't beat each other up here. If the stock seat is a 2-up, and has a grab strap, the strap is actually what is giving you an issue. Remove the rear bolt that holds the seat, lift from the back a little and try to pull it back far enough to get the front lip out from under the tank mount. Then, you'll have to pull the seat forward so you can slide it out through the strap. You can try to get a wrench under the seat to loosen the bolt holding the strap, which will make a huge difference.

If it's a 2-up seat with the grab strap you can remove the screw at the back of the seat. Then pull the seat slightly back to get the front lip off the tank mount. Once that's done simply turn the seat 90 degrees and pull the seat out from the strap. There used to be a video on the HD website that actually showed this procedure. One other point with the Sundowner you may have to use the grab strap that comes with it in place of the stock strap because of the width and heighth difference. If this is the case when you put the Sundowner on put the stap on first and then follow the procedures in reverse. Hope this helps.
