fat bob cornering

I think you just got into some instability due to decelerating into the turn. You might just need to practice doing some cornering, starting with that particular corner. Starting in at 90 and dropping to 80 is no good. Drop it down to 70 ahead of time for example, then increase speed in the corner, the acceleration gives stability, this is MSF basic course sorta stuff. I know this is a new bike for ya, the FXDF hasn't been out that long.
That all said there's no way that turd is gonna keep up with a Duke.

[/blockquote] LOL, Uh Huh, yer preaching to the choir. Like I said I ride that corner 4 nights a week, and I have already tried your suggestions and then some, 70 without sweeping is about the best it gets, 80 in a pinch, that was the 1st attempt at 90, if I hadnât backed off I might have gone over the rail.
I donât expect to beat a Ducati in the turns, like I said before, just expected better out of bob.
I donât need or would gain little if anything from a cheesy *** MSF, I have been riding like a bat out of hell for 40 yrs, I donât think they teach my style of riding.
And your right, itâs a new bike to me, got the 1st one off the floor, so I have to get used to it.
I still say it should corner better out of the box.
Thanks for the ideas all, I will (for now) slow in the corners while I decide to upgrade or live with it.
" I drag my forward pegs all the time with no wobbling whatsoever! Shoot, maybe I'm not riding hard enough!!!! LOL"
Probly not babe
. If you are ever in Dallas look me up, if you take that corner at 90 Ill kiss my own ***.

When I traded in my Sporty for the Fat Bob, the dealer asked me how many times I dropped it. I said "none" and they looked at me like I had a third eye. I explained that I never dropped it, just dropped knees and dragged the pipes into some deep turns.
Would the Progressives raise the height of the bike to allow for a deeper lean? The stock shocks that I have can be adjusted for certain loads but I don't think they'd raise the bike much.
