need some help
Had good luck with few stuck bolts or torx by using a chizzle and a larger hammer.
I gave the problem fastners a couple good wacks (be careful not to let the chizzle slip off and wreck your paint or chrome) to loosen up the locktite that the factory puts on. what also might work is a hand impact hand set.
Not sure if you can get that up in the fender and swing a hammer at it.
Wish could be of more help. Nothing is more frustrating then a stubborn nut or bolt.
This will bump it up to the top, hopefully will get more exposure and a remedy.[8D]
If you have a jack, you may want to drop the lower shock bolts and jack it up. This will give you some room to work and to get a 6-pt. socket on it.
Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it. Unfortunately I don't have a jack yet, if I get one, and loosen the lower shock bolts, that lets the swingarm free right, and drops the tire correct? If so are there any issues with balancing the tire or anything else on reconnect? Also is there a particular jack you guys reccomend? Thanks again
Take a look before you lower your swingarm and see if theright rear passenger peg ormount will contact your exhaust when you lower your swingarm. you may have to remove it as I had to on a 06 Lowrider.
If you have a service manual, that will walk you through it. I know, the amount keeps getting larger with buy a Jack, manual, etc.... The manual will pay for it's self in avoiding costly mistakes. saves $$$ too by not taking it in for $80.00 per hour that you can simply do yourself.
As far as Jacks are concerned, That is a touchy subject here. Depends what you want to spend.
I have the Sears Red Jack. It does what i need it to do for $60.00, Sears has a yelow jack that is much lighter for double $. Nice unit too. I have herd some going to harbor freight, Pepboys auto etc.. and some go with the $250 to $400+ units. It's a personal preferance.
Good luck and keep us posted.
