Default need some help

Hi guys, I need some help. I am mounting rigid sideplates, and the left side went on just fine, but the right side is being a bitch. I have the torx bolt removed, but I can't seem to get the right side turn signal bolt to move. I don't know if they locktited the hell out of it at the factory or what, but I am starting to screw the head up. I want to finish this project myself, and don't really want to pay the dealer 90 bucks an hour for something I should be able to do myself. Any tips would be appreciated.

If your starting to strip out the head then you better get your hands on an impact driver to get it out. If you strip out a torx bolt then your gonna have one hell of a time getting it out (I know cause I just did this a few weeks ago, lol)

Had good luck with few stuck bolts or torx by using a chizzle and a larger hammer.
I gave the problem fastners a couple good wacks (be careful not to let the chizzle slip off and wreck your paint or chrome) to loosen up the locktite that the factory puts on. what also might work is a hand impact hand set.
Not sure if you can get that up in the fender and swing a hammer at it.

Wish could be of more help. Nothing is more frustrating then a stubborn nut or bolt.
This will bump it up to the top, hopefully will get more exposure and a remedy.[8D]

Putting a little heat on ot may loosen the loctite. Be careful not to melt the signal wiring harness.

If you have a jack, you may want to drop the lower shock bolts and jack it up. This will give you some room to work and to get a 6-pt. socket on it.

It might be helpfull to reinstall the hardware that has been removed. Remove the turn sig first.

Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it. Unfortunately I don't have a jack yet, if I get one, and loosen the lower shock bolts, that lets the swingarm free right, and drops the tire correct? If so are there any issues with balancing the tire or anything else on reconnect? Also is there a particular jack you guys reccomend? Thanks again

No balancing needed, It will just line right back up to your lower shock bolts. very easy.
Take a look before you lower your swingarm and see if theright rear passenger peg ormount will contact your exhaust when you lower your swingarm. you may have to remove it as I had to on a 06 Lowrider.
If you have a service manual, that will walk you through it. I know, the amount keeps getting larger with buy a Jack, manual, etc.... The manual will pay for it's self in avoiding costly mistakes. saves $$$ too by not taking it in for $80.00 per hour that you can simply do yourself.

As far as Jacks are concerned, That is a touchy subject here. Depends what you want to spend.
I have the Sears Red Jack. It does what i need it to do for $60.00, Sears has a yelow jack that is much lighter for double $. Nice unit too. I have herd some going to harbor freight, Pepboys auto etc.. and some go with the $250 to $400+ units. It's a personal preferance.
Good luck and keep us posted.
