I haven't had my 08 Fat Bob very long, and got to take it on an Easter Weekend Camping trip in the mountains near Julian, CA! It's hard to describe the feeling of riding it, but it feels like you're becoming one with the bike! (corny I know, but true!). The camping area was at 4200 feet elevation. The weather during the day was mid 70's and at night mid 30's!
The bike did very well on the curvy mountain roads...it was so difficult to keep concentrated on the roads with all the beautiful scenery! Living in southern California definitely has its advantages!
