Ok, this sound dumb, but I have a 04 WG, with a Low rider rear fender/strut/shock setup. I want to buy a sissy bar for the bike, do I buy the Lowrider Mounting bracket, and WG Sissbar? I am confused, I asked a dealer in Northern MN and he was also kindof confused, never really got an answer, any info would be great, (the rear strutt, has only where the signals are and one other hole farther towards seat (I bought the bike from another guy, so going by what he said (or what I thought He said lol)
It would seem to me that since you have the Lowrider rear end you could go with the lowrider sideplates and sissy bar, being that the whith of you rear fender is a Lowrider.
I am by no means an expert or a bigtime wrech, But if the rear section is Lowrider then it should work.
Maybe I'm missing something here?
Well, thats what I'm trying to figure out myself, I am a newbie through and through, just want to make sure that I buy the right stuff (I like to shop ebay)
I'm confused about your rearend... OK, that didn't sound right.
Have you welded LR struts to your WG or just put LR strut covers on your WG?
If it is the latter, you should get WG sideplates but you will have to drill holes in the strut covers to match the holes in the struts.
I have a 2000 WG with detachables. I can measure the distance between the bolts if you like and you can compare that with what you have. I also have an extra set of sideplates for it that are NIB I was going to use for an attitude stick when my ol' lady isn't with me. I would be willing to part with them for $100 shipped.
The bolt measurement is the important thing, the width should be stock for an '04 WG as long as you didn't do anything too extreme.
