Default Bullet Headlights on Ebay

Hello,

This is my first post on the forum. I have a 2007 Street Bob that I bought new last June. So far, I've done the Stage 1 Mod, added V&H Big Radius pipes, highway pegs, passenger pegsand the Willie G. Skull collection derby cover. I also have the 2-up touring seat for when my wife wants to ride (or when I go on a trip) and I bought the detach windshield for trips and when it cold (believe it or not, it gets in the 20s around here occasionally).

I'm planning on continuing the Willie G. Skull theme by adding the breather and/or timing covers (maybe both), tear drop mirrors and grips from the collection. I'm also going to get the skull fuel cap and fuel guage. OK, so now you have an idea where I'm going in terms of personalizing my bike.

I'd also like to replace (this is getting expensive! lol)the headlight with a chrome bullet style. The one at the HD shop is over $300, but I see what appears to be the same lights from Ebay dealers at around $100. I'm interested in saving money if I can, but I'd like to find out if these are truly good deals or is it a case of "you get what you pay for".

Would love recommendations and any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Howdy and Welcome Darly, from Michigan.
Congratulations on your (semi) new acquisition.
You'll like the Bob more and more each time you ride it. Or start doing some mods to it.
Sorry I'm not any help on the headlight, but I just wanted to say "Howdy".
Lot's of folks around here have bought the lights from eBay. I'm sure they'll chime in real quickly.

I bought 1 on E bay as well and it was a nice unit , But I must say after a year of use the chrome on the inside started to peel off ( It had a plastic inner reflector) So I just replaced it again. Will let you know in another year if I have the same problem,LOL

I got mine from Eastern Performance via ebay for less than $100 shipped. So far, so good with it. Seems good quality and fairly easy to install.

Wow, maybe the wife is right, maybe I am a cheap SOB.
I bought one on ebay for $45 delivered, took the guts out of the stock, and put em' in the new one.
I thought it turned out OK...

Good deals, however they come with ground wire wired inside headlamp base, so your bike ground wire is useless, also you need to reverse colors for hi/low beam, don't do yellow/yellow. if you do, you'll end up with lo beam with hi indicator on.
