I'll give a wave to any other biker if the clutch hand is free... But... if they don't return the wave and they bother to take a look in their rearview mirror they will see the bird...
Those "Rice rocket" riders, can't wave. Their hands are busy holding up their weight. If they let go to wave, they would fall off their bike and make a mess on the highway.
It depends on my mood as to waving first. Will always wave back if someone waves first and most definately at all hot chicks (even some not so hot). I have noticed to, that other Harley's do the left hand down low. Me, I just kinda take my left hand off the bar and stick it out to the side with a little open handed wave. Thought about doing a good ole Miss America wave but being from Texas, thought better of that, LOL. Also noticed that about half the other Harley riders will wave and the other half act like they are to cool or hard core to wave. Most of the rice burnin crotch rockets seem to scared or are to busy doing 70 mph wheelies to wave. To each his own I guess.
I dunno how true it was but someone once explained to me that the two fingers down wave is supposed to mean "Keep your two wheels on the ground" as a greeting. Kinda makes sense as to why a lot of Harley guys use it and not ricers.
I wave to the HD guys & gals, Just from the gribs.
I'm like Dudley in "wild Hogs" If I wave then I'll run off the road a cash and burn.
And since I lost the use of some finders in the big war ( bay of pigs) it looks like I'm shooting the bird, so I got to watch how I wave.
Years a go I drove big trucks and since there were no interstates back then we could see the other driver coming at you, and we waved, so I found a hand on a spring in a truck stop and put that in the front window, Now has any seen where I can another one. I'll put on my wind shield
I wave at all bikes on the road. Most of the time they wave back. Going down the road on a bike and seeing another biker is like, "Instant Friend". You both have the fever and you both aknowledge it!
