pipe wraps on forks?
this may just be a lame idea, but i want to black out my upper and possibly, lower forks. I dont' think i've got the patience and money to have them painted and don't want to take them apart. I've considered lace wrapping and normal leather, but wondered if anyone's ever used pipe wrap? or is that just the stupidest idea you've ever heard? [sm=badidea.gif]

dude go to the local hobby shop and get some black vynal decal... put that on there! you will be golden! and it will look like paint if you take your time. just an idea... if you go to a decal shop they can match your paint as well... just another route you can take

Paint them like JRK5892 suggest. Way back people would say "wrap them, it wont hurt anything" when it came to pipes too.... but i have seen some rotted out pipes under that wrap.

Like most are saying it doesn't hurt to try it; however, personally I don't think that it would look good. Just my opinion.
