Im looking to get some plugs for my 08 Super Glide and just wondering what you guys are running if not the "Harley" brand. And part numbers or a good site for crossover for application. I went on Sparkplugs.com and they have not updated there site for the 1550 engines so its of no use to me.
Thanks
I am running the SE Platinum Performance Plus (really just splitfires with an HD logo on them)- available from HD on-line or your nearest dealer. Along with a set of SE plug wires. The bike fires up easier and quicker than ever. I have noticed steadier power, and better fuel economy.
Do you have a Part # for the Splitfire Plugsand the SE wires?
Maybe (?)I can get a set of plugs from Autozone or something,
And maybe the wires from Zanotti's.
(flynavy do not take this the wrong way... i am not saying you do not notice a difference, i have buddies that swear by the wires you have and say the same thing, i belive them and you but also know this)
SE wires and stock wires will perform the same with stock a stock set up... unless you go to a stage 2 with coil and ignition upgrade you will see no difference (except in looks) either way you stock wires will easily handle the flow at the same rate... only diff is the covering on the wire... (came from a Screaming eagle lead engineer) I was going to get the SE upgraded wires as well... till he told me that... he did say if you do the upgrades (stage II) new wires will increase the spark... other than that it is all in your head... personally... i think the aftermarked (SE wires) look way better! but if they do not give you more performance i am not willing to pop $$$
