Mufflers and tuning

Hello everyone , I just went to take a second to thank the men that helped me through the slip on muffler issue. Do you really need to retune your bike when you JUST put on slip-ons . TheanswerisNO, my 07 super glide runs great .I think the key wasNOT to change the air cleaner and most of youmen said that , so thanks again Phil

You are right about most slipons,but I wouldn't want to try it with a system thats too unrestricted.

That's correct Phil. I ran with SE II slipons for 6 or 7 months with no other mods needed. However, if you ever decide to swap out that air cleaner for a stage 1, be sure to get a fuel manager or tuner as well. I thought I didn't really care to bother with it as I was happy with the bike as-is as far is how it ran. But, you get some nice improvements with a stage 1 and it's even more fun to ride. Plus, your engine will be breathing and running better.
